What We Do

As a human service agency, Community Integrated Services (CIS) is committed to serving adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral issues—and helping them thrive. Our programs focus on creating and maintaining dynamic living arrangements that are tailored to their unique and changing needs. CIS combines professional experience and extensive knowledge with a deep compassion and understanding for the most vulnerable members of our community.

Many of the individuals CIS serves are challenged by severe behavioral and mental health issues. Our programs assist them with financial stability, life skills development, employment, and decreased behavioral incidents. To provide the most effective services, we continually review the needs and interests of these individuals. Program services are developed and customized by our treatment teams, and are used daily by the live-in and support staff.

Our Model

For many of the adults in our care, we use a live-in model. Our staff resides with them a week at a time, which enhances the consistency and concurrency of the treatment plan. Before placing someone in our program, we carefully consider the individual’s personality, so we can make every effort to achieve an optimal match with staff members and housemates. We also rely on our support staff—who work more traditional shifts—to provide assistance with employment, home maintenance, shopping and recreational activities.
